About the role
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg
is seeking Allied Health Assistant’s to join the team on a casual basis.

The Allied Health Assistant works as a member of a multidisciplinary team by carrying out clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health professional.
The position supports the delivery of clinical services across the hospital by performing delegated roles within medical, surgical and rehabilitation wards including administrative support as required.

Salary range: $34.02 - $35.66 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Deliver patient care under the direction of Allied Health professionals including group and individual sessions
  • Contribute to patient records according to organisational guidelines and legal requirements
  • Maintain unit equipment and stock including coordination of the purchase and trial of equipment, maintenance of stock levels, cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas including reporting and following up faults
  • Assist with personal care, manual handing and transport of patients
  • Administrative assistant duties as required

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following:

  • Relevant qualification (i.e. Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent) or willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.
