About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join Mater Children’s Private Brisbane (MCPB) as an Enrolled Nurse on a permanent part-time basis at 36 hours per week.

MCPB continues to provide Queensland families with access to leading paediatric doctors, nurses and care providers from admission to discharge at a modern, stand-alone facility for families with private health insurance.  We are a small but highly valued team, providing exceptional services to our paediatric clientele as part of our Mater strategy, Exceptional Every Time.

Salary range:$ 35.93  - $ 38.21 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse, your role will involve (but is not limited to):

  • Working collaboratively with the MCPB nursing team to provide exceptional, paediatric care, every time
  • Actively supports and delivers care that places families at the centre of the healthcare experience
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of paediatric patient care
  • Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by current best practice guidelines
  • A commitment to maintaining current knowledge to ensure continuous professional growth

You will be part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable and patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Minimum 1 year post graduate experience as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Previous Paediatric experience desirable however not mandatory
  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

You will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships and be required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve our patient’s care outcomes relevant to the ward.
