Mater Foundation are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join the team! This maximum term (12 months), full-time role will be based at our Newstead campus.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven digital professional to lead the planning and execution of innovative, high-performing, and cost-effective digital initiatives that support our Lotteries team in achieving key business KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage Paid and organic digital activities that are engaging, effective, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Foster strong, respectful relationships across the Lotteries team and with key stakeholders throughout the broader Mater Foundation to ensure programs are well-supported and integrated across the business.
  • Work closely with the Lotteries team to ensure all supporter-facing communications reflect our brand identity and tone of voice.
  • Oversee digital channels to support team KPIs, working closely with the Head of Digital.
  • Maintain and optimise content within the CMS by updating and organising existing assets (text, images, videos), applying best-practice SEO techniques to improve search performance—without the need to create new content from scratch.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of web and social content strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Report and analyze content performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Support basic SEO tasks to help improve website visibility and organic search performance.

About you

Ideally you will have a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or Communications desirable but not mandatory. You will also meet the below criteria:

  • At least 4 years of hands-on Experience with CMS platforms & Paid Media.
  • Strong understanding of CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore).
  • Ability to analyse content performance data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to proofread and edit content for various formats.
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles and best practices.
  • Analytics knowledge would be highly valuable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to the CMS and content.
