About the role
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton are currently seeking applications from enthusiastic Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our Rehabilitation Ward on a permanent part-time basis.
Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century. Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland. Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.
Salary range: $35.92-$38.21 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will become an integral part of the team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those you care for, while making a positive contribution to the overall standard of care delivered by the unit. We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to continue to provide clinical expertise in a dignified and respectful manner, working closely with patients and their families to ensure a sensitive, welcoming and friendly environment, whilst providing optimal patient outcomes.
About you
You will be driven by a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can bring your energy and experience to this dynamic unit.
The successful candidates must have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- Post-graduate nursing experience in an acute setting
- High level of communication skill including the ability to relate with elder patients in a dignified and respectful manner
- Knowledge of WH&S, Infection Control and Clinical Risk policies
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
While not essential, a post-graduate qualification and experience within a rehabilitation or medical setting would be highly regarded.
