Are you a passionate and experienced Perioperative Nurse ready to take your career to the next level? Mater is currently seeking enthusiastic PACU, Anaesthetic, and Scrub Scout RN's to join our dedicated team. 

Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is growing and we're inviting skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our dynamic perioperative team. Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg's perioperative services comprise four operating theatres, central sterilising and a dedicated Day Surgery Unit. The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes dental, endoscopy, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and urology.

Salary range: $39.87 - $53.53 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing
Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes. 

Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. Still, they may not be limited to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have: 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
  • Minimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Day Surgery experience
  • However, if you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills, training is available
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
