About the role
Mater Education is seeking passionate and experienced RTO Educators to join our Industry leading Registered Training Organisation at the South Brisbane campus. This role is primarily focused on the delivery and assessment activities related to the Vocational Education and Training in Schools program (VETis) within the Southeast Queensland region.
We currently have one full-time permanent position and one part-time (0.6 FTE) permanent position available. These roles present an exciting opportunity to inspire and support the next generation of healthcare professionals through delivery of high-quality vocational education programs in a hospital-based training environment.
Mater Education delivers a world class program to over 1000 students through SEQ and we have a dynamic team of educators who work together to deliver a high-quality health programs. Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an RTO Educator, you’ll play a key role in delivering and assessing accredited training programs, primarily within the Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program. You will:
- Deliver engaging certificate programs to school-based students one day per week on campus or at partner health hubs
- Prepare, deliver, and assess training across a variety of modes including classroom, online, and workplace settings
- Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their progress and success throughout the program
- Maintain compliance with RTO and industry standards while contributing to Mater’s commitment to excellence in education
About you
You are an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with a passion for developing future health professionals. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the health industry
- Strong understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and RTO compliance requirements
- Proven ability to engage and support diverse learners in achieving positive outcomes
- Enthusiastic and engaging individual who is highly knowledgeable in the relevant industry
- Strong adherence and acknowledgment of Policies and Procedures and industry requirements
- Ability to work well with peer educators and as part of a team
Qualifications required:
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Relevant health qualification (e.g., Certificate II/III in Health Services, Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery)
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or eligibility to obtain
- Current driver’s license
