About the role
Mater Mother’s Hospital is excited to be offering a talented Obstetrician and Gynaecologist an opportunity to be part of our services on a Part-Time basis for 12 months. The role is based at Mater’s South Brisbane campus, ensuring access to the world class clinical services, education and research facilities that Mater Mothers’ is known for.
This part-time role comprises of work within Mater’s own private practice model and our busy high risk maternity service. If desired, the employee will also be supported to establish their own private O&G practice, with options for setting up solo or joining one of the thriving private practice groups.
Mater Mothers is Australia’s largest women’s health facility, the largest provider of public-funded women’s healthcare in Queensland, and also the country’s biggest private maternity service, delivering quaternary-level maternity care and comprehensive general gynaecological services
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
We are specifically looking for a specialist candidate who is interested in providing care to both public obstetric and gynaecology patients and privately funded women having maternity care provided through Mater’s own low risk private maternity care model. Although this is a temporary role, the successful candidate will be supported through the transition to their own private practice at Mater in the future.
Importantly the successful candidate who works collaboratively with medical, midwifery, allied health, and non-clinician colleagues to help us deliver consistent, evidence-based, high-value healthcare. Mater Specialists are actively involved in teaching residents and registrars and measuring and improving healthcare service delivery through activities such as inter-disciplinary education, team-based and technical simulation, clinical audit, safety and quality activities and research.
Mater is synonymous with exceptional women’s healthcare in Queensland, and recognised internationally in the areas of clinical care, research, education and simulation.
