About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane have a very exciting opportunity for multiple Registered Nurses in a casual or permanent capacity in our newly opened Neuro/Cardiac stepdown ward.
The 22 bed ward will consist of patients stepping down from our Coronary Care Unit as well as Neurology and Neurosurgical patients.
Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for Cardiac and Neuro patients
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort
Administer medications, manage IV lines, and assist with various diagnostic and interventional procedures
Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
About you
To be considered you will have:
Current AHPRA registration (without restriction)
Minimum 12 months post graduate nursing experience
Preferable experience in medical, neuro, cardiac or surgical.
Consistent availability to complete shifts at short notice
Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
