Mater Research are looking for a Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator of Respiratory, Infections and Oncology to join the team! This full-time, maximum term (14 months) role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.
This role offers the chance to take a lead role within a world-class research institute, driving the delivery of high-quality clinical trials that contribute directly to improved patient outcomes and the advancement of healthcare.

Salary range: $60.81 - $64.36 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator, you will:
- Provide leadership and oversight to the clinical trials research team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including National Clinical Trials Governance Framework, ICH GCP and NHMRC guidelines
- Manage start-up activities for clinical trials, including budgets, resource allocation, and development trial treatment pathways.
- Work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, Senior Manager of Clinical Trials, clinicians, sponsors, team members and other stakeholders to ensure best-practice in trial conduct.
- Oversee compliance, financial and HR management, and robust data processes to enable safe, ethical, and effective research outcomes.
About you
You are an experienced research professional with a strong nursing background and demonstrated leadership in clinical trials. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration (without restrictions).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in nursing, with senior leadership and research management experience.
- Proven expertise in multiple clinical trial coordination, team supervision, and management of stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of ICH GCP principles, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks.
- High-level interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
