Mater Research are looking for a Senior Research Officer - QeC to join the team! This part time (0.5 FTE), maximum term (until June 2028) role will be based at Herston.
This Senior Research Officer will focus on supporting research and evaluation of the Queensland eConsultant (QeC) Service in collaboration with partners including Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and participating general practices. This is a leadership role to coordinate the day-to-day research and evaluation of the QeC and work with the broader project team.

Salary range: $51.50 - $55.36 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for overseeing ethics and data management, as well as recruiting GPs and clinics for our research projects. You will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clinics and primary healthcare professionals. Working closely with the research director, you will ensure that we meet project milestones and deliverables to our Administering Body, Mater-Research Institute - University of Queensland.
- Prepare operational protocols, manuals, reports, meeting agendas, and correspondence
- Coordinate and manage qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
- Prepare research performance reports, project progress reports and milestone reports
- Provide research coordination, including monitoring project timelines
- Present updates, overviews and findings internally
- Assist with intervention development, research protocols, study materials, ethics applications, and research programs
- Conduct literature searches and reviews
- Assist with papers, manuscripts, conference presentations and grant applications
- Support research dissemination, translation, and scale-up efforts
About you:
You will bring:
- A relevant undergraduate degree with research training or experience (Honours/Master’s in a health-related field desirable)
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare environment and experience in health service or research settings
- Skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Endnote and REDCap
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organisational and project management abilities, with proven experience coordinating research activities
- Leadership qualities and the ability to support and develop colleagues within a team environment
- Experience contributing to publications or presentations (desirable)
