About the role
A unique opportunity has become available within the Mater Education Practice Improvement Centre (MEPIC) Simulation service for a Simulation Coordinator to join this dynamic, passionate and innovative team. This position is offered maximum term part time capacity at 20 hours per week for 12 months.
As a member of the Simulation Programs team, you will be working within a team responsible for daily operations of MEPIC and collaboratively provide coordination and support for a range of experiential simulation based activities including planning, development, delivery and evaluation of simulation activities within Mater facilities and off site for commercial activities and projects.
Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Simulation Coordinator you will be responsible for the coordination of diverse simulation based activities including allocation and preparation of simulation resources. You will support delivery of high quality experiential simulation based activities providing expertise and guidance related to scenario design, simulation technology applications, equipment selection, moulage and console operation. This role also supports the daily operations of MEPIC and associated resources including bookings, equipment loans, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and problem solving. As a valued member of the simulation service you will also have an integral role in the provision of psychologically safe environments for learners, participants, colleagues and other faculty during briefing, debriefing and faculty professional development opportunities.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant AHPRA registration
- Attained Cert IV in training and assessment/Post Graduate Clinical Education/Simulation course or working towards it
- Minimum 3 years experience working within a clinical healthcare environment
- Experience in a simulation centre, supporting technical aspects required to deliver simulation activities at point of care.
- High-level communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work within in a team and independently in a dynamic, innovative and flexible environment
- Strong focus on professional self-development and that of others
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- High Attention to detail
- Contribute to safe environments (Physical and Psychological)
