About the role
Mater Mothers Hospital has exciting opportunities for experienced Senior Administration Officers to join our dedicated Administration team in South Brisbane. These roles play a vital part in delivering exceptional service and operational support across Mater Mothers, ensuring every patient, family member and visitor receives a warm, professional, and seamless experience.
With a range of part-time and casual contracts available, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to Mater’s mission of providing compassionate, person-centred care. Mater Mothers' Hospital provides exceptional care to both public and privately funded women ranging from the care of normal, low risk women through to complex obstetric and medical care requiring an extensive multidisciplinary approach.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a valued member of our administration team, you’ll provide frontline service and operational support across Mater Mothers Hospitals. You will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, staff and visitors.
- Manage patient admissions, discharges and transfers with accuracy and care.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records in Mater’s administration systems.
- Support daily administrative functions including document management, payments and enquiries.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery across departments.
About you
You’re a motivated and reliable professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. You will also bring:
- Previous administration experience (healthcare experience highly regarded).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office and patient administration systems).
- Flexibility to support other wards or departments when required.
