Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking experienced and passionate Enrolled Nurses trained in Anaesthetics to join our growing Perioperative team in permanent full-time or part-time positions. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our newly expanded hospital environment, supporting high-quality patient care across a broad range of surgical specialties. As an Enrolled Nurse within Anaesthetics, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care in a fast-paced perioperative setting.
These roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Salary range: $37.00 - $39.36 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of our Anaesthetics team, you will support the delivery of high-quality perioperative care and contribute to positive patient outcomes across the department. You will:
Deliver delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Anaesthetics environment
Support patients throughout the perioperative journey with a strong focus on safety, dignity, and compassionate care
Assist with patient preparation, procedural support, monitoring, and post-procedure activities within scope of practice
Collaborate closely with Anaesthetists, Registered Nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to effective patient communication and education
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control and patient safety standards
Support team culture through collaboration, flexibility, and participation in ongoing learning and development
About you
We are seeking motivated and team-focused Enrolled Nurses who are confident working within Anaesthetics and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring:
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Minimum 12 months recent experience working within Anaesthetics as an Enrolled Nurse
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a fast-paced perioperative environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to delivering patient-centred care aligned with Mater’s values and mission
Sound clinical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workload effectively
A proactive approach to learning, professional development, and continuous improvement
