Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses with demonstrated Anaesthetic Nursing experience to join our growing Perioperative Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity for skilled Anaesthetic ENs who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and who thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced perioperative environment. Working alongside Anaesthetists, Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary clinicians, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey across a broad range of specialties.

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an Anaesthetic Enrolled Nurse, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care by:
- Providing delegated nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Anaesthetic environment.
- Assisting with patient preparation, induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia within your scope of practice.
- Supporting Anaesthetists and the wider perioperative team during surgical procedures.
- Monitoring patients and escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
- Ensuring accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Contributing to a culture of safety, quality improvement and patient-centred care.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring readiness of anaesthetic workstations and supplies.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and clinical competency programs.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Previous experience working as an Anaesthetic Enrolled Nurse in a perioperative setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anaesthetic procedures, equipment and patient monitoring.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary perioperative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-focused care.
