About the role
Mater at Home is seeking experienced Senior Administration Officers to join our South Brisbane campus, with opportunities available across permanent full-time, permanent part-time, and 12-month maximum-term contracts
These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to play a key part in supporting community-based healthcare delivery, providing high-quality administrative support to our allied health and nursing teams while ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience for our clients and patients.
Working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to operational efficiency, service excellence, and positive health outcomes—helping Mater at Home deliver care where it matters most.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will provide proactive, high-level administrative support that enables the smooth day-to-day operation of Mater at Home services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and processing allied health and nursing referrals, including waitlist activation and scheduling
- Coordinating client appointments, changes, cancellations, and reminder communications
- Providing exceptional customer service via phone and email to clients, families, and internal stakeholders
- Supporting quoting, billing, invoicing, and payment processes across allied health, nursing, and NDIS services
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records across Mater systems (e.g. iPM, HomER, My Aged Care)
- Completing initial home risk assessments and arranging interpreters when required
- Monitoring and actioning breached waitlists and escalation requests
- Managing inboxes, documentation, consent forms, and general administrative workflows
- Supporting clinical leaders and management teams with comprehensive business and administrative support
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to projects and service enhancements
About you
You are an organised, adaptable, and customer-focused administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
You will bring:
- Previous administration experience within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
- Experience using health information systems and managing confidential information
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Excellent communication skills with a warm, empathetic, and professional phone manner
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to work autonomously while collaborating with a large team
- The ability to remain calm and composed in complex or challenging situations
- A commitment to delivering exceptional service and contributing positively to team culture
