About the role

Mater is seeking a dedicated Vocational Education Teacher to join our Mater Education team in Springfield on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education and training within both accredited and non-accredited programs. Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

You will assist with the planning, developing, delivering and evaluation of engaging education and training programs across various learning environments including classroom, workplace, simulated, and online settings. Your role will involve assisting with the design and assessment of learning resources that meet industry standards, managing student progression and welfare, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives. You will also foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners to support educational excellence and community impact.

About you

To be considered successful for this position you should have:

  • Vocational competencies at or above the level being delivered and assessed
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (required if teaching Diploma of Nursing programs)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (current) – essential for most roles; desirable for casual CPD teaching
  • Current industry skills relevant to the training area with ongoing professional development in vocational education and training
  • Ability to deliver flexible, inclusive, and blended learning approaches tailored to varied student needs
  • Strong communication, organisational, and student management skills
