About the role
Mater Public Hospital South Brisbane is seeking a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our Geriatric Medicine & Gastroenterology ward in a permanent part-time role (32 hours per week).
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to older adults and patients with complex medical and gastrointestinal needs in a values-driven public hospital environment.
Salary range: $35.93 - $38.21 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting patients throughout their care journey.
- Deliver delegated nursing care aligned with professional standards and Mater values
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and communicate outcomes with the RN
- Support patient education, advocacy, and informed consent
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity of care
- Contribute to a safe clinical environment, including infection control and risk management
- Support and mentor students and less experienced staff as required
About you
You are a caring and professional Enrolled Nurse who values teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Minimum 1 year experience in an acute medical and/or surgical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering care aligned with Mater’s Mission, Vision and Values
- A proactive approach to learning, development, and quality improvement
