About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing professionals to join our team on a casual basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive private hospital environment, working under the direction and supervision of
Registered Nurses to help achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Salary range: $33.20 - $36.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care across the unit by:
- Providing delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity and respect
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition in a timely and accurate manner
- Supporting patient comfort, safety, and wellbeing across physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
- Contributing to nursing assessments and the evaluation of patient care outcomes
- Acting as a patient advocate and supporting families with sensitivity and professionalism
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Adhering to professional, legal, ethical, and organisational standards of practice
About you
You are a caring and reliable healthcare professional who is committed to delivering high-quality care and living Mater’s values. You will bring:
- Certificate III in an appropriate healthcare field (essential)
- Previous experience in a similar Assistant in Nursing role (desirable)
- Sound clinical knowledge within the scope of Assistant in Nursing practice
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- A patient-focused, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach
- Commitment to quality improvement, safety, and risk management
- A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
