About the role
Mater Private Hospitals Day Procedure Unit is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join this multidisciplinary team on a maximum term contract for 18 months, part time 32 hours per week. We are open to employing an experienced EN or RN for this vacancy, all applications will be considered.
The Day Surgery Unit will see you working within a range of areas including Pre-operative waiting area, recovery bays and discharge area.
Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all these areas, which will present opportunities and variety, shift by shift; our team will be required to seamlessly integrate to work under different senior staff as appropriate.
Salary range: $35.92 - $38.21 (EN) or $41.74 - $53.53 (RN) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an enthusiastic and motivated Nurse, you will use your experience and skills to provide quality care to patients who are admitted for day surgery and inpatient care, always ensuring excellent standards of nursing care and work closely with patients and their families ensuring they experience a sensitive, welcoming, and friendly environment at all times.
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
- Recent surgical and/or perioperative experience including the management of patient process from admission through to discharge
- Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of health care
- Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management
