Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking passionate Casual Enrolled Nurses to join our teams across a range of clinical departments as we prepare for the opening of this state-of-the-art hospital in early 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare. As a Casual Enrolled Nurse, you will contribute to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care while supporting Registered Nurses and the broader multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes. Working within your specialty area, you will help provide safe, evidence-based care that meets the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients.

Salary range: $35.93 - $38.21 per hour plus casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

  • Emergency Department (ED)
  • Perioperative Services – Scrub Scout
  • Perioperative Services – Anaesthetics
  • Perioperative Services – Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA)
  • Paediatric Inpatient Unit
  • Outpatient Services

What you’ll be doing 

You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, compassionate and high-quality patient care within your clinical specialty while contributing to positive patient and family experiences.

You will:

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Perform delegated clinical care activities in accordance with evidence-based practice
  • Assist with patient assessments, monitoring and implementation of care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team
  • Support patient education and health promotion initiatives
  • Contribute to a safe clinical environment through infection control and quality improvement practices

About you 

You are a compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively within a supportive healthcare team. You enjoy working in dynamic clinical environments and making a meaningful difference for patients and their families.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
  • 12 + months demonstrated experience in an acute healthcare setting relevant to your speciality area
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care aligned with Mater’s Mission and Values
  • Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per fortnight
