About the role
Mater Hospital South Brisbane's Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the team working in Endoscopy Bookings and Scheduling. This position will be offered as a permanent part time role 16 hours per week .
The successful candidate will need to be available for all shifts across 5 days working between the hours of 6am to 7pm.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Manage, organise, and provide confidential administrative support to the Endoscopy Unit, ensuring maximum utilisation of theatre sessions
Processing patient waitlists and amendments, preparation of documentation with accuracy
Assist in the preparation of reports, theatre schedules and other associated correspondence
Providing administrative support to clinical staff
Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedures
Ensure effective, accurate and timely communications with staff and clients, communicating with sensitivity and discretion
Ensure support for other administration staff within the Administration Services Department
About you
Highly experienced in providing medical administration support - experience with Endoscopy / theatre bookings desirable
Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening and decision-making skills
Deliver a patient centric approach and have a passion for delivering an exceptional experience
Possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills
Display strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse information to identify problems and develop appropriate solutions
