About the role
Mater Education has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Vocational Education Teacher to join us in a casual capacity to deliver high-quality accredited and non-accredited health and clinical programs to diverse community groups.

As our new Educator you will facilitate engaging learning experiences that enhance health literacy, support positive behaviour change, and improve overall wellbeing. You’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and community partners to ensure training is inclusive, impactful, and aligned with current industry standards.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Typical duties of the Educator include:
Deliver effective teaching and learning within classroom, workplace, simulated and online learning environments
Utilise flexible, blended and inclusive learning techniques, options and products which are responsive to various cohorts
Contribute to developing, and evaluating teaching and learning resources, assessment tools and processes that meet industry skills standards
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality of training and assessment
Ensure that students adopt, and practise accepted safety procedures and sustainability in the learning and assessment environment
Contribute to the evaluation and review of educational programs
Participate in relevant professional learning activities
Undertake general administration duties including marking, students' attendance, S
Representing Mater Education at expos and events as required
About you
To be successful in this role, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current APHRA registration. Successful applicants will also have:
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), highly desirable
Valid Working with Children Card (BlueCard)
Current Drivers Licence and a willingness to travel to other locations as required
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed Highly desirable and required for our accredited programs
Strong background in health or clinical education
Excellent communication skills and a passion for lifelong learning
Preferable - Demonstrated understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and experience working within an RTO environment
Detailed understanding of the relevant profession and accreditation requirements
Strong adherence and acknowledgment of Policies and Procedures and industry requirements
Ability to work well with peer educators and as part of a team
