About the role

Mater Education have the opportunity for an Education Lead to join the team in a permanent, full-time capacity based at Springfield.

Are you a passionate and experienced education and training expert ready to lead and shape the future of vocational nursing and health education? We are seeking a dedicated Education Lead to take a key leadership role in delivering and coordinating high-quality teaching and learning for a variety of programs such as Diploma of Nursing program, and a variety of health certificate programs.

As the Education Lead – Springfield, you will be responsible and accountable for managing and leading a dedicated team of vocational teachers assigned to all programs at the Springfield education hub. The Education Lead will manage and coordinate the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education and training activities and resources.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

You will manage and coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of education and training activities, ensuring alignment with the training packages, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role also plays a critical part in supporting student progression and engagement, while fostering interprofessional collaboration and teacher development. Your leadership will directly influence student success and readiness for clinical practice and transition to employment or further study. Typical duties of the role include:

  • Managing and leading a team of Vocational Teachers (all levels) within the Springfield education hub.
  • Managing the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of education and training activities and resources within portfolio.
  • Ensuring compliance with National training package guidelines.
  • Evaluating and monitors student progress throughout the course, ensuring appropriate support is provided.
  • Arranging professional development for team to maintain currency in vocational and teaching practices and clinical/technical expertise.
  • Actively leading validation of assessments through the quality improvement process.

About you

As our new Education Lead we are searching for Educators who have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing and education (Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading education teams in the vocational education and training (VET) or health education sector
  • Experience in simulation-based education and student support during clinical and transitional phases
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement
