About the role
The Mater Department of Dietetic & Foodservices has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated HP3 Dietitian to join their dynamic team on a full time max term 9 month contract, with potential for extension.
Mater Nutrition and Dietetics delivers high quality care across tertiary Adult, Maternity and Neonatal, Adolescent and Paediatric services. Services are provided to both public and private patients across the South Brisbane and Redlands campuses, supporting a network of more than 900 beds. This position will be based at the Mater South Brisbane campus.
The department has a strong commitment to education and workforce development, playing a key role in the training of clinical, research and foodservice pre-registration students. The team also works closely with partner universities to support Nutrition and Dietetics education standards.
This recruitment process may also be used to fill other vacancies within the department (e.g. casual positions).
Salary range: $41.06 - $60.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload(s), which will rotate through a range of clinical areas, whilst contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practice models of dietetic care. Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of nutrition care to adults and paediatrics across a range of clinical areas, including both public and private inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in professional mentoring and peer group supervision.
About you
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics service of a complex and varied nature in a hospital setting, and the ability to manage caseloads across a broad range of clinical areas.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement, evidence based practice and professional development.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), organisational and time management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within the Dietetics & Foodservices Department and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The successful applicant must also have:
- Minimum of one-year full time equivalent clinical experience
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian status
