About the role
Mater Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to join our Community Pharmacy team in a permanent full-time or part-time position (up to 38 hours per week). This role will be based across our Mater Public and Mater Private Hospital Community Pharmacy sites, located at Raymond Terrace and Vulture Street, South Brisbane.
Who we are
Mater Health Services Southeast Queensland consists of a distinct network of two public hospitals and four private hospitals located in South Brisbane, Springfield, and Redland, providing care to over 500,000 patients annually.
The Community Pharmacy team operates across three locations within the Mater South Brisbane campus, providing care to both community patients and hospital outpatients. Delivery of community-based professional services is a key focus, supported by integrated systems including Minfos and MedAdvisor to optimise patient care and service efficiency.
Our diverse customer base includes private and public patients, family members, visitors, and Mater staff. This role offers pharmacists valuable exposure to a dynamic community setting, supporting the development of specialised skills that enhance professional capability within an evolving pharmacy landscape.
Salary range: $46.30-$53.53 plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Delivering a consistent high level of pharmacy service to patients of Mater Health utilising your clinical knowledge, skills and expertise
- The provision of high-quality services for optimising the medication related outcomes for patients.
- If qualified, administering vaccinations in accordance with the National Immunisation Program Vaccination’s in Pharmacy Program, state-based vaccination programs and privately funded vaccination services.
- Utilising applications including MedAdvisor to record and claim for professional service delivery.
- Monday to Friday roster available
About you
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy
- AHPRA registration to practice as a Pharmacist (with no restrictions)
- Completed Approved Immunisation Training Program is desirable
- Hold a First Aid/ CPR Certification (HLTAID009 [1 year expiry], HLTAID010 [3 year expiry], HLTAID011 [3 year expiry]) is desirable
- Competency with Minfos and MedAdvisor software is desirable.
- Completion, commencement, or interest in completing the Graduate Certificate of Advanced Practice and Prescribing to support full scope of practice services is desirable.
You will also demonstrate a professional attitude, effective communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
