About the role
The Mater Private Hospital Redlands' Perioperative Department is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic and energetic Enrolled Nurse to join us on a casual basis. Flexibility is required as you will be required to work a range of shifts Monday to Saturday plus participate in the on-call roster.
Mater Private Hospital Redland offers the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of Redlands Mater Private Hospital and gain valuable experience. Mater Private Hospital Redland has been supporting Brisbane's Bayside community since 2000 and is Redland Shire's only private hospital facility. Located in the suburb of Cleveland, the 60-bed hospital features 3 operating theatres, 2 endosuits and a wide range of specialised surgical and medical services.
Salary range: $35.92 - $38.21 per hour plus casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, your role will involve (but is not limited to):
- Providing quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy and minor procedures. Includes pre/intra and post procedure care
- Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care including preparing patients for discharge
- Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
You will be part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable and patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Previous Endoscopy experience desirable however not mandatory
- Current AHPRA registration as a Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and share knowledge with less-experienced staff
- Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management activities
You will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships and be required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve our patient’s care outcomes relevant to the Endoscopy Unit.
