About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent part-time position working 24 hours per week. Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department operates from 6:30am to 11:000pm, seven days a week, providing top-notch medical care to both adult and paediatric patients. Our team of experienced emergency specialists work tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcomes for every individual who walks through our doors.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a group of skilled professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who will be motivated by a challenging and fast paced environment.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
  • Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
  • Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

To be successful in your application you will have: 

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 12 months postgraduate experience in an emergency setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Life Support
  • Intravenous cannula (IV) will be highly regarded 
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
