About the role
Mater is seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant, Marketing to join our Corporate Affairs and Growth team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent university graduate with early exposure to a marketing, communications or agency environment, who is ready to build their career in a purpose-led organisation.
In this role, you’ll support marketing and communications activity across health, education, research and foundation— helping share the stories, services and impact of a Catholic, not-for-profit ministry committed to compassionate care, service and improving lives.
Salary range: $63,497 - $74,061 per annum plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
About the role
You’ll play an important role in supporting the smooth delivery of marketing and communications activity across Mater. No two days will be the same, and you’ll work closely with experienced corporate affairs professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with campaign coordination, tracking activity and supporting basic reporting
- Preparing, updating and distributing marketing and communications materials
- Maintaining records, asset libraries and version control to support efficient workflows
- Supporting content alignment with Mater’s brand standards, governance and approval processes
- Providing day-to-day administrative support, including scheduling, inbox management and task coordination
- Working closely with Corporate Affairs and Growth colleagues and broader Mater teams to deliver well-coordinated outcomes
About you
You’ll bring energy, curiosity and a strong willingness to learn. You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving team environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree or qualification in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline
- Early experience or internship exposure in a marketing, communications or agency environment
- Strong attention to detail and good written communication skills
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and competing priorities
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in purpose-led work
- A commitment to supporting Mater’s Mission and values
