About the role

Mater Mothers Hospital South Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the Obstetric Medicine Administration team in a permanent part-time role (20 hours per week). This position requires flexibility to work between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Providing exceptional care and support of women and their families, Mater Mothers' Hospitals offer integrated services covering obstetrics, gynaecology, neonatology, and maternal fetal medicine.

Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25  plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

 

What you’ll be doing

Your role will involve but not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
  • Management of referrals, waitlists and appointment scheduling, aligning with KPIs and reporting requirements and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Management of outpatient and inpatient billing, including bulk billing, Medicare ineligible billing and private billing
  • Handling all patient enquiries, including phone calls and emails, ensuring positive patient experiences at all interactions
  • Supporting clinical teams, ensuring smooth flow of daily clinics
  • Providing administrative support to clinic staff
  • Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration and financial policy and procedure, maintaining accurate, current and accessible records

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Highly experienced in providing medical administration support
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Knowledge of MBS billing
