About the role

Mater Mothers Hospital South Brisbane is seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join the Mater Mothers administration team in a permanent part-time role (32 hours per week).

Salary range: $32.02 – $37.35 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

This position is an Administration Officer across a variety of inpatient wards & units. 

As an Administration Officer in the Mater Mothers Inpatient space, your role will involve but is not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patient and clients
  • Providing administrative support to clinical and medical staff
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policy and procedures, maintaining accurate, current and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions
  • Accurate management of outpatient appointments, aligning with KPIs and reporting requirements, and ensuring accurate data entry

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to meet the following:

  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (and the ability to quickly learn new systems)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ensure effective, accurate and timely communication with staff and clients, communicating with professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to adapt to different work environments daily
  • Ensure accurate data entry using appropriate electronic systems
  • A positive attitude and approach to work with a commitment to excellent service and accuracy
