Salary range: $ 41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing as a Clinical Midwife (CM)
As a Clinical Midwife, you will provide clinical leadership and day‑to‑day coordination within the MGP team while maintaining an active caseload. You will lead by example, supporting high standards of care and guiding practice within a continuity of care model.
You will:
Provide clinical midwifery leadership and oversight within the team on a daily basis
Support, mentor and guide midwives to deliver safe, contemporary, evidence‑based care
Manage and coordinate care for women across the spectrum from normal, low‑risk pregnancies to complex obstetric, medical and gynaecological care
Collaborate with obstetric, medical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, integrated care
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance within MGP
Maintain responsibility for your own caseload while balancing leadership responsibilities
What you’ll be doing as a Registered Midwife (RM)
As a Registered Midwife, you will provide comprehensive, woman‑centred midwifery care within a continuity of care model, working to your full scope of practice and forming meaningful relationships with women and families.
You will:
Deliver all aspects of midwifery care across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period
Act as a strong advocate for women and families , ensuring care is respectful and individualised
Provide care that recognises the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of each woman
Practice in a safe, efficient and patient‑focused manner
Work collaboratively within your MGP team to achieve optimal outcomes for women and babies
Build trusted relationships through continuity of care
About you
You are passionate about continuity of care and aligned with Mater’s values.
To be successful, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
A minimum of 1-year postgraduate experience in a midwifery setting
Recent experience across antenatal care, birth suite and postnatal services
A strong commitment to woman‑centred, culturally safe care
Evidence of ongoing professional development
The ability to role model Mater values in everyday practice
Experience in a continuity of care model is desirable but not essential—support and development will be provided
