About the role
Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis!
As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care and support to patients at Mater Private Hospital Redlands.
Mater Private Hospital Redland offers a convenient location for patients and visitors living in the Bayside area. Building on Mater’s reputation for clinical excellence, Mater Private Hospital Redland provides a range of specialised surgical, rehabilitation and medical services to support the needs of the local community. The hospital features a three-level main hospital building incorporating 60 inpatient beds, 3 operating theatres and access to a wide range of clinical services.
Salary range: $41.06 - $60.35 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and casual loading and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Deliver high quality therapy services in accordance with the AHPRA Professional Standards including the Occupational Therapy Code of Professional Conduct
Undertake Occupational Therapy duties with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision
Work alongside an exciting and dynamic multidisciplinary team including allied health colleagues, nursing and medical professionals to collaboratively deliver excellent care
Apply independent professional judgement to a clinical caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence
Provide advice to managers and occupational therapy colleagues on clinical issues within the area/s of clinical specialty
Support from the Allied Health Manager, Senior Occupational Therapist and the Occupational Therapy team will be available regularly as required
Access to professional supervision and professional development allowance
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
At least one-year post registration experience in an acute hospital setting. (desirable, but not necessary)
Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
Demonstrated ability to provide occupational therapy acute and subacute clinical services
Knowledge, expertise and skill within Orthopaedics and Neurological Rehabilitation desirable
Strong and confident communicator, communicating effectively with patients, families and professional colleagues at all times
