About the role 

Mater is seeking a Credentialing Officer to join our Clinical Governance team in a maximum term, part-time (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week) position for five months, based at our South Brisbane campus, commencing as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the safe delivery of healthcare by coordinating credentialing processes for medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health practitioners. Working within a collaborative and supportive team, you'll help ensure practitioners meet regulatory and organisational requirements while contributing to high-quality clinical governance across Mater. 

Salary range: $46.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!  

What you’ll be doing 

As a key member of the Clinical Governance team, you'll coordinate credentialing activities while ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards. You will: 

• Coordinate end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing processes for health practitioners
• Review applications to ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with credentialing requirements
• Liaise with applicants, peer reviewers and key stakeholders to facilitate timely processing of applications
• Maintain accurate practitioner records, profiles and scope of practice within the credentialing system
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation for Credentialing and Medical Advisory Committees
• Provide secretariat support, including preparing agendas, distributing papers and recording meeting minutes
• Assist with audits, reporting, system improvements and ongoing compliance activities
• Provide advice and support regarding credentialing processes, policies and standards

About you 

You'll be an organised and detail-oriented administration professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and managing complex processes with accuracy and professionalism. You will bring: 

• Demonstrated experience in administration, ideally within healthcare, clinical governance or credentialing
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidential information
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team environment
• Knowledge of healthcare credentialing, medical administration or relevant regulatory standards will be highly regarded
• A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
