About the role

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Enrolled Nurse to work within our Surgical team. This position will be employed on a permanent part-time basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. 

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocate
  • Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journey
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

You will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. You will have recent Clinical experience in Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout or day surgery.

You will also:

  • Have current registration with AHPRA with no notations
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including wound management and monitoring recovery
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
  • Be able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and recognise priority tasks
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with a focus on exceptional patient-centred care and customer service
  • Digital and computer proficiency
  • You must participate in a 24/7 roster (including weekends)
