Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit team in this permanent, full-time opportunity.
Must have recent experience Team Leading in ICU. ALS competent and be available for an even spread of Dayshift and Nightshift with flexibility across the roster.
The Mater Intensive Care Units are an integrated public and private critical care service provided across two intensive care units. We have a friendly and skilled team that excels in caring for a variety of patient groups including complex surgical patients, neurosurgical and neurological conditions, life-threatening medical conditions, critically ill obstetric patients and critically ill oncology/haematology patients.
Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse in ICU, you will perform all aspects of Nursing care with particular consideration to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient/client in a safe, effective and patient focussed manner. This clinical leadership role provides and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care, where advanced clinical skills and knowledge underpin care coordination, collaboration and communication within the Nursing/Midwifery and interdisciplinary team, for excellence in patient outcomes. The CN provides operational leadership when delegated by the NUM/MUM.
About you
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in ICU (ALS competent)
- Postgraduate qualification in ICU is highly regarded
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (no restrictions)
- High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at various levels to achieve
- Available for an even spread of Dayshift and Nightshift with flexibility across the roster
