Mater Mothers' Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Midwife to join our Ambulatory Services team.

This role provides antenatal care to women with a range of pregnancy risks, from low to complex, through antenatal clinic services, as well as homecare and postnatal support through home visits. Working across CARE and Ambulatory Services more broadly, you’ll play an important role in providing comprehensive, coordinated care to women and their families throughout pregnancy and the early postpartum period.

About CARE

The primary focus of this position is complex case management within the CARE Model of Care, supporting women experiencing high-risk psychosocial circumstances, mental health vulnerabilities, social complexity, trauma and safeguarding concerns.

The CARE/RPM Clinical Midwife provides advanced midwifery care, comprehensive case management and clinical coordination for women with multifaceted psychosocial needs. The role involves active participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, supporting timely assessment, care planning, escalation and continuity of care across the maternity continuum.

A strong emphasis is placed on collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver holistic, trauma-informed and coordinated care for women and families. The role has an impact across antenatal clinics, Birth Suite, postnatal wards and Homecare services, providing clinical leadership, advocacy and continuity for a high-risk cohort.

Based within Ambulatory Services, the CARE/RPM Clinical Midwife works closely with the broader maternity team to ensure seamless integration of care across inpatient and community settings, supporting safe care planning and improved outcomes for women with complex psychosocial needs.

Flexible working arrangements may be considered, including the potential for a job share model, based on service and team requirements. You will have the opportunity to list your availability in the application form.
