About the role

We have a unique opportunity for a passionate Administration Officer to join our high achieving Medical Education team in this maximum term (until Jan 2027), full-time role.

The Medical Education Unit is located at South Brisbane and is responsible for delivering high quality medical education and support for Resident Medical Officers across Mater South Brisbane and Mater Springfield.

Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

To provide administrative support to Medical Education and Workforce Services (MEWS) for the coordination and efficient functioning of all Medical Education programs and activities. Administration support includes, but is not limited to:

  • To provide administration support to MEWS for the formal education programs for Medical Officers (Interns, Junior House Officers, Senior House Officers, Critical Care Senior House Officers)
  • To provide support with administration functions relating to orientation programs for Medical Officers (Interns, Junior House Officers, Senior House Officers, Critical Care Senior House Officers, Registrars, Principal House Officers, Fellows, and some Senior Medial Officers). This includes managing relationships with external sponsors.
  • To coordinate, review and provide Intern Completion Certificates in collaboration with the Medical Education Officers and Director Clinical Training prior to forwarding to AHPRA
  • To prepare meeting agendas and minutes in collaboration with the Director Medical Workforce and Education
  • Work within Mater systems to track, monitor and ensure compliance with due process for Education session attendance, feedback, and planning.
  • Support MEWS with all data collection and reporting functions for accreditation requirements.
  • Provide customer service and support to Junior Medical officers; manage and distribute MEU generic email and phone line.
