About the role
Mater Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Pharmacist to join our Clinical Trials Pharmacy team on a permanent part-time basis working 30hrs per week.
Salary range: $68.24 - $73.43 (HP4) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will be responsible for:
Supporting Clinical Trials Pharmacy Services throughout the hospital in compliance with hospital policy, relevant Acts, standards and Code of Practice
To confer with pharmacy, medical, nursing, allied health staff and the Research Secretariat to apply appropriate ethical and scientific principles to approved investigational protocols
Establishment activities
Preparation of summary of trial protocol and dispensing procedures for individual studies
Development and implementation of drug accountability forms where appropriate
Liaison with investigators and monitors
Collection and analysis of data
Ongoing administration activities
Ensuring adequate supplies and maintaining inventory of receipt and return of supplies
Ongoing liaison with investigators and monitors
Ensuring appropriate storage of IP in a secure place under appropriate conditions
Regular monitoring of drug accountability records
Noting and compliance with protocol amendments
Dispensing / drug accountability activities
Document appropriate dispensing and labelling
Maintenance of drug accountability / dispensing records
Checking for protocol adherence
Invoicing
Invoicing of CT Pharmacy services via internal accounting software
Closing Down activities
Clinical Trial Pharmacy Folder archival procedures
Destruction of Investigational Product and associated pharmacy supplies
About you
To be considered for this role you must have:
Hold a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy and be eligible for registration as a pharmacist (AHPRA)
Proven experience in the provision of Clinical Trials Pharmacy Service
