About the role
Mater at Home currently has exciting opportunities for Speech Pathologists to join our dynamic and supportive team. We currently have both permanent and fixed-term opportunities available and are open to discussing full-time or part-time arrangements to suit the successful applicant's experience, availability, and preferences.
This role is based at our South Brisbane campus, with travel in the community to provide services directly to clients in their homes.
You will report operationally to the Mater at Home Speech Pathology Team Leader with indirect reporting to the Director of Mater at Home.
As a Speech Pathologist with Mater at Home, you will provide high-quality, contemporary speech pathology services to adults with congenital, developmental, and acquired disorders of swallowing and communication.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide community-based care across a range of funding streams, including the NDIS, Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Post Acute Care, and private referrals.
We welcome applications from Speech Pathologists with experience in:
Support clients in the assessment, prescription, implementation, and review of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
Deliver clinical services to clients referred by hospitals, GPs, specialists, support coordinators, and other referral sources
Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, support coordinators, and other health professionals to facilitate coordinated care and optimal outcomes
Undertake assessment, treatment, case management, and review within established clinical governance frameworks
