The McAuley Ward is a busy medical ward caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will use your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to support patients, guide nursing teams, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice and positive health outcomes. You’ll contribute to clinical education, mentor junior staff, and lead by example in maintaining professional standards and improving service delivery. As the Clinical Nurse on shift you will be required to coordinate admissions and discharges, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager and stepping in (if required) You will also need to have the ability to assist the Medical Team with their rounds and take on additional responsibilities as request by the NUM.

To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a ward-based nursing role
- Current AHPRA registration with no practice restrictions
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
