About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for two suitably qualified Clinical Nurses to join the Day Surgery Unit. These roles position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis at the South Brisbane Campus.
The Day Surgery Unit will see you working within a range of areas including the Pre-operative waiting area, Day Surgery admission and Discharge area and the Preadmission Clinic. Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all of these areas, which will present opportunities and variety, shift by shift; our team will be required to seamlessly integrate to work under different senior staff as appropriate.
Salary range: $49.88 - $53.43 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation and access to generous salary packaging

About you
To be successful in your application you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) with minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Demonstrate advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate management and workloads
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement process, coupled with the proven ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement measures
- Extensive experience to provide mentorship and guidance assisting with the professional growth of less-experienced nurses within the team.
- Support the Nurse Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the Clinical Stream and assist with skill development.
- Provide optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care.
Those applicants with relevant post-graduate qualifications and/or clinical experience in relevant fields of nursing will be highly regarded. Demonstrated knowledge and application of Workplace Health and Safety, Infection Control and Clinical Risk policies are also of value.
