Mater Foundation are looking for a Partnership Account Manager to join the team! This permanent, full-time role will be based at our Newstead campus.

What you’ll be doing
This position plays a key role in the success of the Corporate & Community Engagement (CCE) team, which delivers campaigns, events and partnerships that engage and inspire a community of support for Mater.
You will build and nurture relationships with our key sponsors and partners to maximise outcomes. In this role, you’ll manage sponsor and partner deliverables across key campaigns and events to achieve stated objectives and mutually beneficial outcomes. The role has key responsibilities across:
- Managing day to day relationships with selected Mater Foundation partners;
- Sponsorship account management for campaigns and events such as Nine Telethon, International Women’s Day Fun Run, Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for Cancer, Mater Smiling for Smiddy Challenge and Noosa Triathlon; and
- Corporate engagement and participation in above listed campaigns and other community initiatives such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mater Giving Day.
About you
You will have tertiary qualification in business, marketing or related discipline and practical experience in the development, management and sourcing of corporate & community partnerships and/or sponsorships. You will also meet the below criteria:
- 3-5 years’ professional experience in the account management and/or sponsorship field, including sales, business development, strategic or commercial partnerships would be highly regarded.
- Exceptional relationship management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement project plans and timelines, regularly communicate with stakeholders, and monitor project progress and budget.
- Ability to analyse, research and evaluate information, identify trends and issues, and develop solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff and people in a wide range of business and community settings.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate across a range of mediums which includes public speaking, verbal and written presentations, proposals and correspondence.
- A thorough understanding of modern business development and sponsorship practice, as well as an understanding of and commitment to effective relationship management.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for work projects by contributing ideas, initiating improvements, and offering creative solutions to challenges.
- Consistently meets deadlines and completes scheduled tasks, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume work environment
Please note: Completion of the Fundraising Institute of Australia Code of Conduct is essential upon commencement.
