About the role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is currently looking for suitably qualified Career Medical Officer who will be available to work in our Intensive Care Unit. This is a permanent full-time position.

This opportunity will place you with our dynamic Intensivist led multidisciplinary team, managing critically ill patients in a Level 6 ten bed Tertiary Intensive Care Unit. This locum placement would suit an anaesthetics/ICU or ED trained registrar looking for a well-supported experience in a friendly patient focused ICU.

Salary range: $220,000 base salary plus superannuation + salary packaging

 

About you

  • To be successful in this role you will possess:
  • Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Three (3) years post graduate experience; including three (3) months preferably (6) months in anaesthesia; in addition, at least six (6) months experience in UCU and/or ED.
  • Skilled in airway management including bag/valve/mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation and LMA placement.
  • Demonstrated skill in the placement of arterial lines and central venous catheters.
