About the role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville (MPHT) has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic and qualified Registered Nurses to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team within our Perioperative Services Department in a full time, part time or casual capacity.

Our Perioperative Services Department provides surgical services across 16 theatres, and caters for adults and paediatrics with a variety of surgical specialties.  MPHT boasts brand new state of the art theatre facilities, a catheterization laboratory, separate onsite day site surgery facilities as well as newly implemented robotic surgery involving the da Vinci Surgical System.

Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 per hour (Registered Nurse Level 1), plus superannuation, casual loading and access to salary packaging

What you’ll be doing

As a trained Scrub/Scout Nurse with proven experience in a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory unit, you will have a strong work ethic, self-motivation and be able to adapt quickly to changing environments as we work together to deliver first class services. Alongside your caring and engaging manner, you will have a positive attitude and strong communication skills allowing you to engage with our patients and their families.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting with relevant Cath Lab experience
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
