Mater Foundation are looking for a Community Fundraising Coordinator to join the team! This permanent, full-time role will be based at our Newstead campus.

This position plays a key role in the success of the Corporate & Community Engagement (CCE) team, which delivers campaigns, events and partnerships that engage and inspire a community of support for Mater.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

This is role is focused on driving fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and community engagement to increase income and create long term supporter relationships. A key element of this role is to support the delivery of community event activity and empower community fundraisers to achieve their best fundraising results.

The purpose of the position is to:

  • Support the planning and delivery of community fundraising programs and thirdparty events to fundraise for Mater Foundation
  • Identify potential third-party fundraising opportunities and assist in the creation and rollout of new community fundraising initiatives to help expand the giving portfolio
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community fundraisers to ensure they are empowered and supported throughout their fundraising activities

About you

You will have demonstrated experience in fundraising, event / project management or related discipline. You will also meet the below criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as ability to build rapport quickly and sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds,
  • Demonstrated ability to implement project plans and timelines, regularly communicate with stakeholders, and monitor project progress and budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate across a range of medium which includes public speaking, verbal and written communications.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel and online fundraising platforms as well as excellent database and data entry skills, with experience in CRM databases
  • Understanding of contemporary fundraising practice and the non-profit sector, as well as an understanding of and commitment to philanthropy
