About the role

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking 2 x Enrolled Nurses to work within our Day Surgery Unit. This position will be employed on a permanent part time basis, 16 or 20 hours per week. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. 

Salary range: $37.93 - $40.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
• Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
• Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
• Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth 

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
• Previous demonstrated experience within a pre and post-operative nursing care in an acute setting
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
• The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
