About the role 

An opportunity has arisen within Mater Digital Technology and Information (DTI) for a Team Leader, Data Quality and Statutory Reporting in a full-time and fixed term capacity (to end March 2023 with potential for extension). DTI offer a hybrid working model including Newstead corporate office, South Brisbane campus and working from home.  

In this role you will be managing a team responsible for patient, activity and clinical data statutory reporting to external agencies as well as PAS patient master index and patient result matching management functions. You will have business responsibility for activity-based funding (ABF non-admitted) reporting and other monthly reporting processes. You will engage with business areas to drive data quality improvement processes for defined statutory reporting requirements. 

You will liaise with external agencies to confirm reporting requirements and coordinate required changes to Mater operational processes and systems, including documentation of changed requirements and user acceptance testing.  In this role you will develop and maintain data quality and reporting procedures, standards, and work instructions including documentation of business rules and data flow mapping.  

This role is a pivotal link between Mater DTI Technical, Finance and Health business stakeholders to coordinate data quality improvement processes to optimise Mater activity reporting. Salary: $58.22-$62.48 (MCAS7) plus superannuation and access to salary packaging. 

About you 

To be successful in this role you have demonstrated success in a similar role in a large and complex hospital setting coupled with leadership experience. Exposure to and experience in Power BI would be advantageous. 

Essential Qualifications 

  • A Health Information Management or data discipline qualification or equivalent health industry experience
