About the role

Mater Procurement and Supply Chain Operations are seeking an experienced and driven Team Leader Theatre Inventory Operations. This is a permanent full-time position based in South Brisbane with local travel throughout Mater SEQ hospitals required at times. This role reports to Manager Warehousing and Inventory Operations.

The Team Leader Theatre Inventory Operations is part of a centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team, which is focused on building collaborative, customer-focused relationships and adopting a business partnering approach.

Salary range: $43.31 - $47.71 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The primary responsibility of this role includes:

  • Oversee operational workflow and ensure regular communication on performance expectations.
  • Identify issues and raise with the leadership team, collaborating to provide solutions for Mater customers.
  • Supporting and developing the supply chain operations through regular discussions, performance reviews and coaching
  • Promote the philosophy of health care and the values of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mercy
  • Lead and participate in committees, working parties and projects.
  • Manage the inventory team’s performance development process creating a fully integrated cross functional team whilst supporting them in their daily activities and workflows.

About you

  • Diploma in Purchasing or Inventory Management or equivalent – desirable.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Experience leading change and able to demonstrate sound change management capability.
  • High level of experience in purchasing operations, within a healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Sound data and reporting skills and experience in a purchasing context.
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP platforms or purchasing and inventory management platforms.
