About the role

Maters Digital Technology and Information Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Analyst to join us in a full time capacity on a 20-month maximum term contract to start in November 2024. Reporting into the Test Lead, the Senior Test Analysts will be accountable for end to end testing activities across a variety of projects.

Salary range: $114,746 - $122,915 (MCAS 6) per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will be responsible for analysing requirements & designs, assisting with planning, execution and continuous improvement of testing processes. Typical tasks include:

  • Undertake development of test cases/scripts and supports the review of test scripts against the requirements, technical specifications and solutions, including architecture and design documents
  • Contribute towards the frameworks used for capturing test scripts
  • Develop DTI Testing knowledge repositories
  • Develop quality assurance goals and testing framework
  • Help provide support to training and mentoring of team members on agreed standards, technology adoption and skill gaps
  • Develop the standards towards test data and environment management
  • Provide SME advice across a body of knowledge of trends in technology in healthcare
  • Implement continuous improvement activities
  • Use subject matter expertise when engaging with stakeholders to define the scope of testing, investigation and resolution of incidents
  • Identify risks that may impede testing delivery and develop mitigation plans
  • Undertake test execution activities and supports defect management activity
  • Contribute towards test automation activities
  • Provide expert advice in the development of test summary reports and the development of test strategy and plans
  • Provide expert advice for the coordination of User acceptance test Phase

About you

We are looking for someone who has/is the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT
  • Previous demonstrated experience as a Senior Test Analyst
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry (desired)
  • ISTQB Certification – Foundation level
  • Strong knowledge on testing lifecycle and process
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall delivery models
  • Demonstrated experience in working with test management tools such as - Quality Centre, Azure DevOps, Jira
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Automation tools experience - Selenium, UI Path, Katalon or similar other tools
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Ability to program in various programming languages as part of automation capability uplift – C# /. Net / Java based technologies / Python
  • Demonstrated experience on testing interfaces – API
  • Demonstrated experience in working in clinical and critical applications including integration with HL7 and other clinical messaging services.
